Gene Wong

Managing Director
Eugene Wong has almost 4 decades experience as an investment banker, entrepreneur and angel investor both on the East and West Coasts. He has served as an advisor, director and investor to several companies, including First American International Bank (NY,NY), Optimer Pharmaceuticals (SD,CA), Radixx Solutions International (Orlando, FL)., WeeSPIN Music (LA, CA),
Veracast Communications (SF, CA), and the Mountainwest Technology Accelerator (NV). He is a graduate of the Columbia University Graduate School of Business with an M.B.A. in Finance , and of Cornell University with a B.S. in Engineering Physics . Mr. Wong is married to his wife Lai of 43 years, with two adult offspring: Byron (40)-married, and Vanessa (38). He divides his time between the Bay Area-San Francisco,CA and Nevada.
Mr. Wong was a founding member of The Aslan Group – a national group of angel investors to early-stage companies (1998). 1995 – CEO of AmerAsia Parnters. Mr. Wong was the Managing Partner of IHG-a boutique investment bank in New York in 1990 which did the management buyout of Protection One Alarm Services and subsequent IPO; and was also engaged in the recapitalization of Sunbeam Oster, out of bankruptcy.
Prior to that he served as a Managing Director of the High Yield Securities Department at Prudential Bache Securities (1987) and served on the Investment Committee of Prudential Bache Merchant Banking Fund- an $800 million private equity fund.
He was a Senior Vice President in the High Yield and Convertible Bond Department of Drexel Burnham Lambert (Los Angeles) in 1983, and began his career on Wall Street with Goldman Sachs & Company in 1973.
Mr. Wong co-founded the SF Bay Chinese Entrepreneurs Association Chapter in 2001. He is on the Advisory Board of the UNLV College of Engineering, the Advisory Board of the UNLV Center for Entrepreneurship, and is a member of the Sierra Angels (Incline Village) and the NV Angels (Switch Comm.).

Dr. Wilson Cheng has 20+ years international experience in MNCs (Oracle, Versant, Fujitsu) as well as startup companies. He is an experienced executive, visionary entrepreneur and investor. He is currently a general partner of Morning Star Capital and founding member of CIC Venture.
John M. Davidson

John M. Davidson

John M. Davidson, Ph.D., has been a successful technologist and entrepreneur with over 45 years experience in the computer and communications networking industries. He served as a design engineer in the development of the ARPA Network and TCP/IP protocols. A co-founder of Ungermann-Bass, he served as CTO through its IPO and subsequent sale to Tandem. He also was CEO of Network Telesystems through its sale to Efficient Networks which was ultimately acquired by Siemens. John has served as Chair, director, investor and advisor to startup cos Switchfly SW, Whitehat Security, Tunein SW, Zello, Reiley Pharma, Snowcap Data, OneTouch EMR, Skyworks Aerial Systems and Offercraft. He was a founding partner of Startup Capital Ventures and serves in the Tech Assessment Committee of UNLV Engineering.
Dominic Genovese

Dominic Genovese has over 35 years’ experience in tech sales, from startups to global leaders. He was an early employee at Cisco Systems and helped the company to grow from $200M in sales to several Billions by building a world-class sales and system engineering team. He has been a driving force in the turn-around and acquisition of several tech startups. Dominic has also served on corporate Boards in both public and private companies. He currently mentors tech entrepreneurs. His education is from Rutgers University and University of Maryland.
 Richard Groberg

Richard Groberg’s career has evolved from: (1) professional journalist to (2) a banker/investment banker with strong analytical and transactional skills to (3) a financial executive in diverse public company to (4) a series of related, senior operating and financial roles in various, multi-division, multi-location business. Groberg has worked in large corporations; started businesses, and has been parachuted into existing businesses to effect a turnaround, financially and operationally, and then help accelerate their growth. Groberg possesses a rare combination of “hands on operating” and financial/transaction expertise. Groberg has raised public and private equity and debt; initiated, negotiated and consummated: acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, etc., and has significant experience with real estate and insurance-related transactions.
Richard W. Helfrich

Richard W. Helfrich has been a venture capital partner, a founder of a NASDAQ listed semiconductor company and has successfully turned around another NASDAQ listed manufacturerby developing new products for key customers around the world.  He has served on dozens of emerging company boardsin electronics, communications, energy, semiconductors and life sciences; and has been an invited speaker covering technology businesses at many events and TV/radio news programs about building technology startups.  His education includes BA Physics, MSEE and pre-med in Chemistry and Biochemistry.
Ramesh Srinivasan

Ramesh Srinivasan is an accomplished CEO with demonstrated leadership success in technology and general management across multiple industries. He has an impressive track record of multiple turnaround successes which have resulted in rapid and sustainable long-term growth and significant increases in shareholder value. Ramesh is currently the President and CEO of Innotrac Corporation, a leading eCommerce Fulfillment Services provider. Prior to joining Innotrac, Ramesh spent the previous nine years (EVP, Systems, President & COO, President & CEO) of his professional career at Bally Technologies, Inc., a global leader in Gaming Technology Products and Services. Prior to joining Bally Technologies Inc., Ramesh was Executive Vice President at Manhattan Associates (NASDAQ: MANH), a premier Supply Chain Software Solutions provider. Ramesh graduated from the prestigious India IIT (Engineering) – IIM (Management School) combination. In addition, he has also successfully completed the Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program (AMP).
